All visitors to Jamaica are required to be in possession of a passport or other acceptable travel document establishing nationality and identity, and bearing a photograph. The passport or other travel document must be valid for the period of intended stay in the island. Visitors are also required to show evidence of sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay in Jamaica and be in possession of a return/round trip ticket to another country.
Certain nationals are also required to have an entry visa prior to traveling to Jamaica. Please contact the consulate (see further details under “Contact Us”) in order to clarify if persons of your nationality are required to have a visa. Visas are normally issued after relevant database checks by our colleagues at the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA), in Jamaica and an interview with the Honorary Consul.
It should be noted that the final decision in respect of admission and length of stay in Jamaica lies with the immigration officer at the port of entry in Jamaica. A visa does not provide an automatic right to enter Jamaica.
